Why we built this
Most small businesses pay twice for a website.
First for a DIY tool that locks them into a monthly fee. Then for an agency rebuild that takes months and costs five figures. Neither feels like ownership.
We started Alte Builder to take a third path: a real custom site, designed and built from scratch, on a fixed price and a fixed timeline. The same modern tooling agencies use, without the layers of project management that make them slow.
Our customers are restaurants, contractors, coaches, e-commerce brands, and pre-launch startups. They share one thing: they want a serious site without making it their full-time job.

Each tier has a defined scope. The number you see at booking is the number you pay. New requirements become a clear, optional add-on instead of a surprise invoice.
You own everything
The repo, the design files, the assets. Host wherever you want — Vercel, Netlify, your own server. We don’t lock you into a platform you can’t leave.

Things people ask before booking.
Are you a US company?
Yes. Alte Builder is registered in the United States. Stripe handles all payments. You’ll receive a US invoice and a 1099-compatible record for your books.
Where is your team based?
Operations and account ownership are US-based. We work with a small group of vetted senior designers and engineers across time zones for production — but a single point of contact owns your project end-to-end.
What if I’m not happy with the design?
Every build includes one full revision round. If we still haven’t hit it, we keep iterating until the agreed scope is met. If we miss the delivery date through our own fault, you get a refund.
Do I have to host with you?
No — and we recommend you don’t lock in. We deliver the source code and you can host on Vercel, Netlify, or your own server. Maintenance is an optional monthly add-on if you want us to handle it.
What does the brand name mean?
“Alte” (German for “old”) is a nod to the old craftsman model — small shop, accountable maker, real ownership of the work. Modern stack, classic ethic.
